ACI (American Concrete Institute) is one of the world’s leading technical organizations dedicated to advancing concrete technology through the development of standards, technical documents, educational resources, and scientific research. Founded in 1904 in the United States, ACI promotes excellence in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete structures by publishing internationally recognized codes, specifications, guides, and reports.

The Institute supports engineers, architects, contractors, researchers, educators, and building officials by developing consensus-based standards for structural concrete, reinforced concrete, concrete materials, testing methods, durability, and construction practices. Today, ACI has more than 100 local chapters worldwide, fostering education, professional development, and knowledge sharing across the global concrete industry.

ACI operates through approximately 500 technical committees, each responsible for developing standards, guides, reports, and educational documents covering specific areas of concrete technology.

For example:

  • ACI Committee 212 focuses on chemical admixtures for concrete.
  • ACI Committee 515 develops guidance on concrete protection, rehabilitation, and waterproofing systems.

In addition to its standards, ACI publishes several respected technical publications, including Concrete International magazine, the ACI Structural Journal, the ACI Materials Journal, newsletters, symposium proceedings, and the comprehensive ACI Manual of Concrete Practice (MCP), a multi-volume reference containing the Institute’s most important technical documents.

ACI publications are organized into several technical series, each covering a specific area of concrete engineering:

ACI 100 Series

General codes, specifications, and standards for concrete construction and structural concrete.

ACI 200 Series

Standards covering concrete materials, constituent properties, mixture proportioning, and material performance.

ACI 300 Series

Documents related to concrete construction practices, design procedures, execution, and quality control.

ACI 400 Series

Standards and guides focusing on structural evaluation, strengthening, rehabilitation, and performance of reinforced concrete structures.

ACI 500 Series

Publications covering concrete repair, maintenance, durability, and specialized concrete applications.

E-701 Educational Bulletins

A collection of technical educational bulletins primarily focused on concrete materials and engineering fundamentals.

Innovation Task Group (ITG)

A specialized committee that publishes innovative technical documents and recommendations for emerging concrete technologies and construction methods. The ITG series contains fewer than 20 publications.

Special Publications (SP) and Manuals (MNL)

ACI’s Special Publications (SP) and Manuals (MNL) present research findings, conference proceedings, design guidance, best practices, and educational reference materials. More than 80 publications have been issued in these series, making them valuable resources for practicing engineers, researchers, and students.

The official ACI website is the primary source for purchasing the latest editions of ACI Codes, Standards, Specifications, Guides, Reports, and Manuals.

Pars Octan also provides an extensive archive of ACI publications, including current and historical editions of standards, committee reports, manuals, and technical references. Whether you need an individual ACI document or a complete collection, Pars Octan offers a convenient source for engineers, consultants, contractors, researchers, and students working in concrete design and construction.

Request ACI Standards

The Pars Octan archive includes the latest available editions of ACI Standards and technical publications. However, some documents may not yet be listed on the website.

If you cannot locate the ACI publication you need, or if you require more than 20 documents, you can submit a request specifying the ACI document number and the desired edition year. You may also select the required publications from the archive inventory provided in the downloadable Excel catalog, allowing us to prepare a customized ACI standards package tailored to your project requirements.
