IEC TC 23B – Plugs, Socket-Outlets and Switches

IEC Technical Committee 23B (IEC TC 23B) develops International Standards for plugs, socket-outlets, switches, and similar accessories used in household and comparable fixed electrical installations.
These standards define the safety, performance, construction, testing, and marking requirements for low-voltage electrical accessories.

IEC TC 23B publications help ensure safe and reliable electrical connections while reducing the risk of electric shock, overheating, and fire hazards.
