IEC SC 23G – Appliance Couplers

IEC Subcommittee 23G (IEC SC 23G) develops International Standards for appliance couplers used to connect electrical appliances to power supplies safely and reliably.
These standards specify the design, safety, performance, testing, and interchangeability requirements for appliance connectors, inlets, outlets, and detachable power cords.
The standards help protect users from electric shock, overheating, and mechanical failure while supporting reliable electrical connections.
