IEC TC 96 – Transformers, Reactors, Power Supply Units, and Combinations Thereof

IEC Technical Committee 96 develops International Standards for transformers, reactors, power supply units, and combinations of these devices used in electrical and electronic equipment.
These standards define the requirements for design, construction, safety, performance, testing, insulation, and thermal characteristics of power conversion equipment.

IEC TC 96 publications cover power transformers, control transformers, isolation transformers, reactors, AC/DC power supplies, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and integrated power supply assemblies.
The standards ensure reliable operation, electrical safety, energy efficiency, and electromagnetic compatibility across a wide range of applications.
